Looking for a great night out in Westchester? Grab a burger, sip a cocktail, and enjoy local talent. Westchester has several restaurants where you can indulge in delicious food and drinks while experiencing live music. Here are some top spots to check out.

2118 Boston Post Road, Larchmont; 914.341.1534

Stop at Billy & Pete’s Burger Bar to try a house martini paired with a smash burger or spicy chicken sandwich. While enjoying your food and drink, listen to live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at the bar. Recently, the venue had New York musician Tony Hoylen and other local artists such as Monica Uhm play.

When the weather is nice, owner Billy Bishop says they take the live music outside. With lots of local talent, including his older brother, Bishop frequently has Westchester bands and musicians perform.

“The bands we bring in mostly play covers,” Bishop says. “Some bands will play more ’70s and then some ’80s and ’90s. Our crowd wants to come in and hear music that they know the words to.”

P.S. Want more? Billy & Pete’s Social, located a few minutes down the road, hosts live music as well.

446 Bedford Rd, Pleasantville; 914.747.4740

The Garage at Lucy’s offers musicians and music listeners a place that feels like home. With a stage, street signs, and flyers, it resembles a basement or garage show but with the added benefit of food and drinks. Stop by Monday through Saturday to enjoy live music with your meal.

“We have outstanding local artists every Monday at our acoustic open mic,” says Duke Covone, who books and produces the shows at Lucy’s. “And, on Tuesdays, local bands gather for the legendary Tuesday night jam. We also have local artists who open up for touring bands on Fridays and Saturdays.”

Well-known musicians, such as country rock singer Aidan Canfield, who was born and raised in Pleasantville, have also played at The Garage at Lucy’s. Start off the night with pretzel sticks and then enjoy a cheesesteak, chicken sandwich, or burger while jamming out to the live music. Order a craft beer or unique cocktail to pair with your meal in the 1980s environment that is The Basement at Lucy’s.

11 Station Plz, Dobbs Ferry; 914.478.3634

Located in the historic Dobbs Ferry train station edifice, Hudson Social offers a cozy dining experience with indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant has a Thursday night outdoor live music series featuring a variety of bands from the beginning of April until the end of October. In August, stop by to hear bands such as Milton Music and Peter Calo & Friends.

When you kick back and relax on the outdoor patio or pull up a seat at the bar, try a draft beer or signature cocktail. Check out the food menu and share some pretzel bites or chicken wings. Then, head to the entree section to enjoy dishes like chicken Milanese or a slow-roasted brisket sandwich. End the night with warm weather, good music, and a slice of cheesecake or a root beer float on the patio for dessert.

1500 Baldwin Rd, Yorktown Heights; 914.962.9300

Stop here to find live music every Friday and Saturday night. On Thursdays, enjoy open mic night or bring your instruments and friends to play onstage. During the summer, a favorite is the all-you-can-eat barbecues on the patio. If you are looking for something lighter while you enjoy the music, try the Mohansic salad or quesadillas.

“I think what makes our place different is that it’s relaxed and all about fun,” says Anne Savino, the owner of Mohansic Grill & Lounge. “People are dancing, enjoying the music, and meeting new friends.”

The restaurant often brings in local bands and musicians from the area. Savino says the team also loves to host birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations at the lounge, where people can enjoy catered food, live music, and a fun atmosphere with family and friends.

85 Westchester Ave, Pound Ridge; 914.764.0200

Head to North Star for live music on Thursday nights. On the first Thursday in August, Andrea and George The Acoustic Rutgers will be playing from 8-10 p.m.

With a cozy atmosphere and music playing in the background, try the restaurant’s salmon, sea bass, cod, shrimp, turkey meatloaf, or cauliflower steak. In the summer, choose to sit outside on the brick patio and sip a drink while savoring good music and a bite to eat.

8 W Main St, Elmsford; 914.592.9849

If you want to do karaoke with your friends and hear live music, then Pete’s Saloon and Restaurant may be the spot for you. Enjoy live music every Saturday night with a variety of bands. Some upcoming August shows include bands like Vinny Pastore’s Gangster Squad, Powderfinger, and Teri Lamar’s Playing Mantis. The shows start at 9 p.m., and most don’t have a cover fee.

Make reservations online or by calling because the show nights fill up quickly. While you sing along to the live music, order a poke bowl, tacos, or flatbread. Then, grab a signature cocktail like a coconut mojito or spicy margarita to top off the night.

580 Gramatan Ave, Mount Vernon; 914.668.2634

Opened in 1991, The Bayou Restaurant specializes in authentic Cajun food, hot and spicy sauces, and strong drinks. With the food and drinks comes live music featuring top local and national artists.

On Mondays, the restaurant has open mic jam night starting at 8:30 p.m. On Saturdays, it holds live music events featuring new bands every week. Upcoming August shows include bands like GOURD, The Slippery Chickens, and Otis & The Hurricanes. While listening to the live tunes, order some food you don’t see every day in Westchester such as hush puppies, frog legs, and Cajun popcorn shrimp.
