Work with editors and write around two monthly stories on topics such as career skills and education in the Westchester area. I cover food, restaurants, and seasonal dining for Valley Table.

Charleston City Paper- News Intern
During this three-week internship and capstone project to finish my degree in S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, I wrote the cover story for the June 7 print edition on the fentanyl crisis in Charleston. I also wrote a long profile on a local Charleston bookstore owner. I finished out this capstone with a collaborative front-page article on homelessness and the housing crisis in the city.

As a news reporter intern, I worked with the news editor on a weekly basis and got assigned stories. I also pitched story ideas periodically. I then reported, wrote, and took photographs for the news stories I was working on. Some of the topics I covered included healthcare, outdoors and recreation, and education.

As a member of the You Matter Blogger Council, I pitched blog ideas related to mental health and suicide prevention. I worked with editors and write one to two blog posts per month about subjects such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, healing, coping strategies, and more.

Marist Circle- Managing Editor
As the Managing Editor of the newspaper, I oversaw the entire newspaper process from story ideas to design layout and distribution across campus. I created the story budget for the newspaper and wrote 3-4 stories biweekly to go into the print edition while also editing on average 20 stories per issue.

As a Newsfeed intern and Marist Poll Fellow, I completed a variety of tasks for their communications department. On a weekly basis, I made social media posts, graphics, blog posts, conducted research, and helped produce the Poll Hub Podcast.

Hudson Valley Magazine - Digital News Intern
As a Digital News Intern, I helped to fact-check and revamp stories on the Hudson Valley Magazine website. In addition, I researched, interviewed, and wrote original stories to be published on the Magazine's website. I improved my AP style and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) skills during my internship with them.

Marist For the Record - Editorial Director
I worked on the Marist Circle special initiative "For The Record" for three years. In 2021, I was part of the editorial team for the project. In the spring of 2022, I was the Editorial Director who oversaw the entirety of the project including creative design, website design, writing, and storytelling.

Pitched weekly article ideas and wrote at least one article a week for the politics, women, or wellness section. Interviewed high-profile sources from around the United States and covered a variety of individuals, companies, politicians, and nonprofits.

The Morning Call - Journalism Intern
Shadowed journalists and assisted with The Morning Call podcast. I also wrote a feature article on the co-founder of a Bethlehem, PA local nonprofit that was published in the Morning Call Sunday paper.
